Judges’ views on conservation litigation through mock trials

In the absence of existing cases in most countries, we have little understanding of judicial decision-making in conservation litigation cases. To gain greater insight we used a mock trail approach, in which we presented judges with hypothetical conservation litigation cases and conducted interviews to understand their views and receptiveness to different types of remedies. Dr. Rebecca Nichols explains the key findings.
