Exciting news from Conservation-Litigation.org network member WTI - Poacher, the new Amazon Prime series, tells the true story of one of the biggest wildlife crime cases in India.

Murder is murder” - Poacher, the new Amazon original crime series which will be available to watch on the streaming platform from 23 February, charts the story of the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history.

Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta, Poacher highlights the efforts of Indian forest service officers, the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), police, and all those who risked their lives to unearth India’s largest poaching syndicate.

The series benefitted from the technical support and insight of WTI’s Wildlife Crime Control Division, which supported the real-life enforcement response against a far-reaching elephant poaching and ivory trade network in the State of Kerala.

Wildlife crimes like these lead to untold harms: to individual animals, species survival and ecosystems. Highlighting their stories is an important step to raising awareness of the impacts and furthering justice for nature.

Conservation-Litigation.org is proud to be working with the Wildlife Trust of India to tackle the true cost of wildlife crime.
